About Us

Sometimes timing is everything.  We have been friends for over two decades since meeting on our first day at Cambridge University, but our prior joint ventures have only extended to some (very professionally put together) holidays.  After realising that our foray into screenwriting was unlikely to be winning any accolades just yet, we decided to combine forces and use our skills to do something we’ve always been passionate about: helping people to make work and life better.  And so The Thrivelihood was born.

Debbie is an experienced facilitator, coach, advisor and behavioural scientist who loves to help people to envision their future and work out how to get there.

Having started her career as a management consultant focusing on workforce performance, Debbie then spent 12 years working in financial services, including 10 years as a partner at a boutique investment firm.

Debbie has exceptional organisational skills and brings a creative and thoughtful approach to her client work.  She quickly establishes the fundamentals, and is able to build rapport and communicate complex issues clearly to people at all levels of an organisation.

Debbie has a MSc in Behavioural and Economic Science, an MA in Law from Downing College, Cambridge, is an ICF ACTP Professional Coach and a LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Facilitator.

In her spare time you can find Debbie at a gig or festival, up a fell or out in the garden.

Graeme is a negotiation advisor, mediator and facilitator who focuses on helping teams and leaders transform the way they engage and work together and harness the benefits of positive disagreement to find their best solutions in negotiations and conflict situations.

A recovering lawyer and dispute resolution expert with over 18 years’ experience, he’s seen his fair share of conflict and how our emotions and behaviours get in the way of our real interests.

An empathetic listener with a non-hierarchical management style, Graeme focuses on leading and empowering individuals to challenge their perspectives and navigate the tricky territory of communication and collaboration.

Graeme has an MA in Law from Downing College, Cambridge, is a CEDR accredited mediator and a Certificate in Advanced Negotiation Master Class from Harvard Law School’s Programme on Negotiation.

In his spare time you can find Graeme running or playing tennis, although the Wimbledon dream is sadly over.
